Incorporated in 1970, Wallem Philippines Shipping, Inc. is a Philippine-managed company affiliated with the Wallem Group
In 1965, it was decided to open a Wallem office in Manila. The rationale behind the move was that the Philippine government succeeded in getting the Japanese government to sign a reparation agreement, under which a large number of cargo ships were to be built for the Philippines to be entrusted to a selection of Filipino shipowners.
Incorporated in 1970, Wallem Philippines Shipping, Inc. (WPSI), is a Philippine-managed company affiliated with the Wallem Group; Reginaldo Oben, after training with Wallem & Co. Ltd in Hong Kong, joined WPSI as its President and local owner.
Under his able leadership, the company has gone from strength to strength over the years and is today one of the group’s most valued members.
